Online Trauma-informed therapy

Online therapy can offer a flexible and accessible way to engage in trauma-informed counselling, wherever you are based. I offer online therapy for adults in the UK and internationally, supporting people who are seeking a relational, thoughtful approach to trauma work.

My practice online

My online work is grounded in a humanistic, person-centred and trauma-informed approach. I have specialist training in working safely with trauma online and work collaboratively, at a pace that feels manageable, with careful attention to safety, containment and the therapeutic relationship.

Online therapy can support depth and continuity while offering greater flexibility, and may be particularly helpful if you travel frequently, live outside major cities, or find in-person sessions difficult to access.

Working across cultures & contexts

I also work with some clients based outside the UK. Having lived and worked overseas for many years, my practice is shaped by cultural humility and an awareness of power, inequality and context.

I welcome clients whose lives have been shaped by migration or cross-cultural experiences, and I aim to offer a respectful space to explore identity, belonging and meaning within the wider social and relational contexts of your life.

How we may work together

As therapy develops, we may gently slow things down and pay attention to what’s happening in the moment — noticing emotions, bodily sensations, and patterns in thoughts or responses — in ways that feel contained and manageable.

Alongside my private practice, I work across specialist trauma services and bring experience of working with complexity, difference and lived experience into my therapeutic work.

If you’re interested in working together online, you’re welcome to get in touch to ask questions or arrange a free 15–20 minute consultation.

  • "Jo supported me to navigate a life that hadn’t unfolded in the way I expected. Therapy gave me space to grieve what could have been, and to move forward rather than feeling stuck."
